Celebrating 5 years on 124 Street!

124 Grand Market Relocating to 102 Avenue for 2016 Season

Thursday nights 4-8PM May 12 to October 13, 2016

For the 2016 market season, The 124 Grand Market will be moving to the East side of 102 Avenue between 124 and 123 streets. This move is due in part to neighbourhood renewal that the city will be completing on 108 Avenue, as well as the park redevelopment on the corner of 108 Avenue and 124 Street. The market will continue to operate on Thursday evenings from 4 to 8PM May 12 to October 13, 2016. This re-location will be for one season only and the market will return to their original home on 108 Avenue and 124 Street in May 2017.

The 124 Grand Market would like to thank our patrons, community members and businesses for all of their unwavering support over the years and they are very happy to announce that they will be celebrating their fifth season on 124 Street! The 124 Grand Market hopes that you will continue to support the market and its grand vendors through the 2016 season. Please see some important information regarding the market move below.

Parking: We strongly encourages walking, biking or public transit to the Market. We have a bike mechanic on site for all your two wheeled wonders and lots of bike rack parking in the area. Please be aware if you drive, pay parking will be located at the Impark lot at MEC. FREE parking will be accessible for patrons and shoppers in all High Street parking lots and the Oliver Neighbourhood.

ATM & Market Bucks: An ATM will be provided onsite issuing only “Market Bucks” that can be spent at both Grand Market locations only and never expire. The closest ATM is inside Esso.

Washrooms:
Portable washrooms will be available on-site on the East end of 102 Avenue. Please refrain from using surrounding businesses facilities.

Little Beans Program: The 124 Grand Market had such a successful first year with the program reaching over 150 children in the city that they’ve decided to launch the program at both Grand Market locations for 2016. Starting June 2 the Little Beans program will be available at both the 124 Grand Market in the Westmount community and the French Quarter Grand Market.

How It Works
Little Beans is a free, interactive and educational program that engages children ages 4-12 and families with their farmer, the story of their food, and ultimately promotes healthy living.

  • Parents sign their children up and return to either market location each week to support the program and the market June to October
  • Kids receive a token to exchange for a produce item or food plant of their choice from a number of participating vendors
  • The market compensates all vendors for products purchased with Little Beans tokens

We are still looking for local makers, bakers, growers and shakers to vend with us this season!
