Winding Road Artisan Cheese is a vendor that joined us exclusively at the French Quarter Grand Market. Every Sunday Ian drives in from outside of Smokey Lake where he lives and produces Winding Road Cheese, with a car loaded with Greek Style Yogurt, Butter Cheese, pyramids of Highland Hall, RDB and other tasty cheese.
Here’s a little history about Winding Road Artisan Cheese and Ian the creative force behind it all:
“Winding Road Artisan Cheese is an artisan cheese producer situated in the County of Smoky Lake, Alberta; about an hour from Alberta’s Capital City, Edmonton. We use only organic whole cow milk from Vital Green Farms, and a unique vegetable enzyme, derived from the Cardoon Thistle, to help create our cheeses. Our mission is to produce the best hand-crafted artisan cheese available anywhere, and we do this by producing small, high quality batches of cheese with as little automation as possible.”
“In March of 2016 [Ian’s] dreams of becoming a professional cheese maker came true with the incorporation of Winding Road Artisan Cheese Inc.
